Tottenham’s pursuit of Genoa defender Radu Dragusin has received a boost as Napoli’s initial offer for the player has also been rejected. According to Sacha Tavolieri, who covers the situation around the defender, both Tottenham and Napoli are competing for his signature. Tottenham is eager to strengthen their squad by adding a central defender due to injuries to Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero. However, they have yet to reach an agreement with Genoa, who are holding out for a high price for Dragusin. This has raised concerns that Tottenham might miss out on the player, especially since Napoli has made their move to bolster their squad. Tavolieri provides a positive update, stating that Genoa has countered Napoli’s initial offer. Napoli offered €20m plus Alessandro Zanoli and Leo Østigård, but Genoa rejected it and demanded €25m plus Zanoli and Østigård on loan instead. At this point, Napoli’s offer is better than Tottenham’s, as Spurs have only offered €18m so far. However, Tottenham is planning to make a second offer soon. Dragusin’s preference is to play in the Premier League, giving Tottenham an advantage. It is crucial for Tottenham to act quickly if they want to secure the defender, as Napoli is determined and willing to offer various solutions to Genoa to ensure they sign Dragusin.
