The January transfer window is just around the corner, and Premier League clubs are once again finalising their shortlists as they plan to spend big. Speculation is beginning to ramp up with Manchester United, in particular, being linked with several names.
United will have to sell before they can buy but they do have several sellable assets and will hope to move on the dead wood so they can form a new spine in their team, with players in all positions being linked.
Erik ten Hag is said to have prioritised the signing of a new defender next month and would also like to bolster his attack if the opportunity arose. However, Takefusa Kubo, a former Real Madrid wonderkid, is also being heavily linked and he plays as an attacking midfielder.
It seems unlikely, but United could transform their team if they signed a new defender, midfielder and attacker. Chelsea, meanwhile, are on the hunt to sign one of their former players but have been warned it’ll take a ‘massive’ offer to seal a deal.
