A new United Kingdom weather map shows Great Britain hot weather continuing through September in a late-summer explosion that will delight millions.
The latest WXCHARTS maps show large areas of England experiencing temperatures between 22 and 24°C on 12 September.
It will be a little colder in Scotland and the north of England with the mercury rising to the mid-teens in Newcastle.
But areas around Leeds look set to see temperatures of between 15 and 18 degrees Celsius, with comparable temperatures predicted for Manchester and Liverpool.
But London and areas south of the capital are expected to see 24C, while Norwich is expected to see 22C, according to the latest data.
Wales it will also be a little cooler, but still in the 15°C range, although Cardiff could exceed the 20°C mark.
About that, some parts of the UK could also see temperatures rise to highs of 29°C early in the weekwith other areas set to reach temperatures in the 20s by September 9.
Maps show the south-east could see temperatures reaching 29C, while central and eastern England could see temperatures reach above 27C.
Meanwhile, northern regions and parts of north Wales are likely to see temperatures below 20°C, and Scotland is expected to see temperatures in the low 10°Cs.
London area expected to be worst affected warm up with highs of 28°C to 29°C, while Norfolk, Suffolk and Kent can easily reach 27°C, according to the website.
Coastal areas of Sussex, Hampshire, Dorset and parts of north Somerset and Devon are predicted to see the mercury rise again in the second week of September, reaching up to 27C.
The mini heatwave will be triggered by a jet stream of high temperatures in Spain, which is reaching 35 °C.
This is because next month is set for a “plenty of dry and stable weather“for most of the country, the Met Officelong-term forecast of the observed.
High pressure will largely remain, but forecasters at the national weather agency have warned that there is still a chance of rain in some areas.
BBC Weather experts are also predicting a warm start to the month in the coming days, with their forecast for September 2-8 stating: “Temperatures could remain above or even well above the seasonal average early on.”
But they predict a shift to “wetter and windier conditions again” as the month progresses.
