The San Antonio Spurs have one of the worst records in the league this season.

That’s despite having the most exciting prospect we’ve seen since LeBron James, arguably the greatest coach in NBA history, and a plethora of young talent.

Nonetheless, that’s also why it’s hard to believe that things won’t get better soon for this team.

At least, that’s how Victor Wembanyama feels.

Talking after their loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, the reigning No. 1 pick claimed that it’s all a matter of effort, showing his confidence about how things are going to work out well for them in the future (via The Athletic).

“It all comes down to all our efforts to make this work.  But it is going to work,” Wembanyama said.

The Spurs are going to add another top-five pick alongside the French star, which is the only silver-lining from this season.

Gregg Popovich has gotten visibly frustrated with their lack of fundamentals of the game at times.

But another season together should do wonders for this team.

They will also have plenty of cap space to surround their young star with proven veterans.

Wembanyama has made it loud and clear that he’s not used to losing and doesn’t like it one bit, so don’t be shocked if he pressures the front office to make some moves and get significantly better ahead of his sophomore NBA season.
