“A case for two” celebrates a milestone. In 2014, the new edition of the popular cult crime series appeared on screens for the first time. This is evident from the anniversary ZDF four new episodes from September 6.
The main actors are back
Fans can look forward to seeing the usual leading actors again. Antoine Monot Jr. (49) plays lawyer Benjamin Hornberg, Wanja Mues (50) is there as private detective Leo Oswald and Bettina Zimmermann (49) reprises the role of prosecutor Claudia Strauss. This time the team has to deal with the murdered sister of a rapper, a music student and a missing woman. Undercover investigations also tested their friendship.
The four anniversary episodes will be published in the ZDF media library on September 6. The first episode of ‘Showbiz’ also begins on linear television on September 6 at 8:15 PM, with ‘Enzweit’, ‘The Last Delivery’ and ‘Gone Without a Trace’ airing on subsequent Fridays.
There is no end in sight yet
Even after ten years of ‘A Case for Two’, Antoine Monot Jr. is still not thinking about quitting. “It’s a lot of fun, and especially Wanja and I have become good friends and colleagues over the years. We have set a tone in the series that we are very happy with,” he explained in March. in an interview with “Prisma”. Filming for the eleventh season of the series had already started in mid-June.
Monot and Mues inherit, among others, Claus Theo Gärtner (81) and Paul Frielinghaus (64) in the new edition of ‘A Case for Two’. Gärtner started in September 1981 as police chief Josef Matula, who eventually became a private detective. The lawyers at his side changed over the years, including Günter Strack (1929-1999) as Dr. Dieter Renz, Rainer Hunold (74) as Dr. Rainer Franck, Mathias Herrmann as Dr. Johannes Voss and most recently Paul Frielinghaus as Dr. Markus Lessing.
