According to police, two 19-year-old women and a 21-year-old man died at the scene of the accident. The 18-year-old passenger and the 43-year-old driver were slightly injured.
Officers found traces of alcohol consumption in the driver. The results of the blood sample are still pending, the police said in a statement on Monday morning.
The investigation into the exact cause of the accident was still ongoing. According to current knowledge, no other vehicle was involved. Highway 204 remained closed for several hours due to rescue efforts.
