Caleb Williams is getting to know his presumptive future NFL franchise extremely well.

Reportedly, Williams and members of the Chicago Bears had dinner on Tuesday.

Brendan Sugrue of the “Bear Down Chicago Podcast” posted on Twitter that Williams and “some current players” were in attendance Tuesday for a special dinner with Bears management.

The former USC quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner is the consensus choice as the top pick for the 2024 NFL Draft.

Chicago holds the top choice in this year’s draft process after the team made a trade with Carolina last year.

The dinner is another example of how much interest the Bears have taken in Williams prior to the draft.

Adding multiple future teammates cements how intent Chicago is to make this relationship work.

For his part, Williams has not discussed the upcoming draft in any media interviews, leading to speculation about his interest in joining the Bears next season.

After back-to-back losing seasons, Chicago fans are restless with anticipation for a new elite athlete to join their squad.

Prior to this draft, Chicago has only chosen the No. 1 selection twice in the franchise’s history with both previous times dating back to the 1940s.

Williams threw for 3,633 yards in 12 games last season, completing nearly 69% of his passes.

The quarterback accounted for 41 of USC’s touchdowns last season, including 11 rushing TDs for the Trojans.

In addition to the No. 1 pick, the Bears also own the No. 9 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
