Honor didn’t need any fanfare to launch its latest entry-level smartphones – X5b and X5b Plus. The devices are available in several Middle Eastern markets; as their names suggest, they are closely related. Honor has made the Plus slightly better, but the similarities are more than the differences.
The Honor X5b and X5b Plus feature an LTE-only Helio G36 chipset and run Android 14 with MagicOS 8.0 on top. The display is a basic 6.56-inch LCD with a waterdrop notch, 720p resolution, and 90Hz refresh rate.
The selfie camera mounted inside the notch has a 5 MP sensor. On the back, there’s a 50 MP primary sensor on the Plus and just 13 MP on the Vanilla. In both cases, there is a 0.8 MP secondary shooter alongside.
