The Los Angeles Chargers made some massive changes in the offseason following their disappointing 2023 NFL season.

The Chargers missed the postseason despite having a roster full of veteran players and a healthy Justin Herbert under center.

It was clear that team owner Dean Spanos would start fresh and he did just that by firing the previous regime and bringing in Joe Hortiz and Jim Harbaugh.

Agreeing to terms with Harbaugh was the biggest win for the franchise so far this offseason as he was highly coveted after leading the Michigan Wolverines to the 2023 CFP Championship title.

Harbaugh has won at just about every level of football throughout his career, and his run with the Wolverines deserves all the praise it can get.

To commemorate Michigan’s title, Harbaugh got a tattoo of the logo and their record and had a simple four-word phrase during the session via Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

“I’m impervious to pain,” Harbaugh said.

It’s on brand for Harbaugh to say something like that considering how his teams like to play on the field.

Harbaugh’s Michigan team was tough and physical at the line of scrimmage, and they beat Washington in the championship game on the backs of their defense and run game.

Now with the Chargers, Harbaugh is expected to mold the roster in the same mold as the Wolverines and that should go a long way in helping the organization snap its unfortunate luck in recent years.

With the 2024 NFL Draft just around the corner, it’ll be interesting to see how many of Harbaugh’s former players end up on his new team.
