Antwerp’s teenage defender Kobe Corbanie scored one of the goals of the weekend as his side came back from 1-0 down late on to win 2-1 against Club Brugge. The 18-year-old smashed the ball passed Simon Mignolet in the 85th minute to make it 1-1, with Jacob Ondrejka announcing his return from injury with a late winner.

Ondrejka then scored in the 99th minute to seal a comeback win for the Great Old. It got worse for Club Brugge when Hans Vanaken was then sent off. The win see’s the defending champions move level on points with Club Brugge, who had been surging up the table in recent weeks. This defeat ends a run of 16 games unbeaten in both league and European competitions. Club Brugge will now face Union St Gilloise at home in the first leg of the domestic cup semi-finals on Wednesday.

Antwerp on the other hand will face Oostende in their semi-final. Despite financial trouble off the pitch and fears that the club may cease to exist in the near future, the second tier side have shown remarkable resilience in the cup.
