Last month, Mercedes Mone’s debut at AEW significantly impacted the wrestling world. The CEO made her first appearance at the special event, AEW Big Business, in her hometown of Boston, Massachusetts. Since then, fans have been anticipating Mone’s in-ring debut in All Elite Wrestling.

On the latest edition of AEW Dynamite, Willow Nightingale, accompanied by Renee Young on the entrance ramp, delivered a passionate promo. She expressed her newfound confidence and preparation to become the face of TBS when she competes against Julia Hart for the TBS Championship at AEW Dynasty.

However, Mercedes Mone interrupted Willow Nightingale’s promo and made a significant announcement. Mone wished Nightingale luck for her match against Julia Hart at the AEW Dynasty. She stated that regardless of the outcome, she would be next in line for a title shot. Mone specifically mentioned Vegas, hinting at a potential challenge for the title at Double or Nothing on pay-per-view. This announcement was later confirmed by commentary, adding intrigue to Mone’s future at AEW.

AEW Double or Nothing has been officially announced for Sunday, May 26, and it will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The debut of the latest AEW signee, Mercedes Mone, has been officially announced for Double or Nothing. While Mone is finally making her debut in AEW, there is speculation that in her first match, she could face her former rival.

Mone competed against Nightingale in the tournament finals for the NJPW STRONG Women’s Title at NJPW Resurgence in May 2023. Unfortunately, she suffered an ankle injury during the match. This resulted in her loss and subsequent rehabilitation. Now, Mone and Nightingale are part of AEW, raising the possibility of them facing each other again. Mone announced during an episode of AEW Dynamite that she would challenge the winner of the match between Nightingale and Julia Hart at Double or Nothing for the TBS championship. This announcement sets the stage for a potential rematch between Mone and Nightingale.
