The Denver Nuggets have the best player in the world right now, and he’s not bothered by the pressure at all.

Nikola Jokic literally arrived at Game 1 of a playoff series vs. the Los Angeles Lakers dressed as Gru from “Despicable Me.”

Then, he put up 32 points on 15-of-23 shooting, adding 12 rebounds, seven dimes, two steals, and one three-pointer to lead his team to a win.

That’s why, following the triumph, coach Michael Malone showered him in praise, stating that he’s just the kind of player who lives for those kinds of moments and who shines the most when the lights are the brightest (via the Nuggets and ClutchPoints on Twitter).

That’s Nikola Jokic.

While he’s had some incidents in which he’s been angry and his character has gotten him out of games, he’s been mostly steady.

He’s a guy who’s all about taking care of business.

He won’t do much talking, but he’s going to dominate you night in and night out.

The Lakers have thrown everything at him, but to no avail; he continues to torch whoever’s in front of him.

Not even an elite defender like Anthony Davis has been able to crack the code, and that’s obviously a major concern for Darvin Ham.

Jokic is a true point center and the ultimate triple-threat kind of player.

And if he continues to play this way, it’s hard to think of any team that could legitimately pose a threat to the Nuggets in a seven-game series.

His dominance is unmatched right now.
