Police arrest suspect after fatal attack

Investigators said he was an 18-year-old from the city. He was arrested at his home address on Wednesday and will appear in court on Thursday. A 20-year-old was seriously injured in a fight last Sunday and later died in hospital.

A large group beat the victim and his companion

The victim’s uncle addresses the community

Shortly after it became known that the 20-year-old had died, more than fifty relatives, friends and acquaintances gathered in Minden, where the victim lived. The young man’s uncle addressed the crowd: “Take care of yourself. Take care of your children. Look out for each other,” he said.
