With the 2023-24 NBA regular season coming to an end in the coming weeks, the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets look like the team to beat in the Western Conference once again, with Nikola Jokic and company firing on all cylinders at the right time while sitting 22 games over .500.

Along with being one of the best teams in the league at this point in the season yet again, Jokic appears to have no one standing in his way as he might easily win a third NBA MVP award, which would put him in the same category as Magic Johnson, Moses Malone, and Larry Bird.

Although there are a few other viable candidates like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luka Doncic, and Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jokic is the clear favorite and is poised to add to an already impressive legacy.

Las Vegas Aces head coach Becky Hammon recently talked about what Jokic brings to the table in the NBA and how she doesn’t want to become numb to just how great he is, via NBA on ESPN.

“I don’t ever want to become numb to [Nikola Jokic’s] greatness because I think he is one of the most phenomenal players to ever walk the planet,” Hammon said.

Even though the Nuggets likely won’t get to the top seed in the Western Conference, with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Oklahoma City Thunder sitting ahead of them, Denver will still be arguably the scariest team for any first-round opponent in the conference.

That first-round opponent is shaping up to be the Phoenix Suns, with Kevin Durant and company getting another chance to take down Jokic and company in a seven-game series.
