Are pink nails an issue for future top NFL Draft picks?

That’s the discussion revolving around Caleb Williams and the internet’s outrage surrounding his appearance at a recent USC women’s basketball game.

This shouldn’t be an issue, according to Alex Curry and Carmen Vitali on their recent FOX Sports Radio show.

Williams, the presumptive top pick of the 2024 NFL Draft, was spotted March 25 sporting a pink phone, wallet, nails, and lips.

The internet debate centered around if Williams’ personal attire choices would keep the former Trojan athlete from leading a NFL locker room.

The hosts specifically called out Chicago fans as the Bears own the No. 1 pick in April’s draft.

To further her point, the radio host referenced the unique appearance of Bulls fan favorite Dennis Rodman during his run with the team in the 1990s.

“You are projecting mad insecurities onto him,” Curry told listeners about Williams.

Williams has painted his nails for several years, according to the top quarterback prospect.

In a 2023 interview with former USC great Matt Leinart, Williams explained the tradition started in the last year of his high school playing days.

According to the interview, Williams’ mom paints nails professionally, which led to the tradition.

Several media personalities have come to his defense over his personal choices, including Colin Cowherd, Kyle Brandt, and Robert Griffin III.

Williams played two seasons in Los Angeles, winning the Heisman trophy in 2022.

In three seasons, Williams threw for 10,082 yards and 90 touchdowns while rushing for 960 yards and 27 touchdowns.
