The Cleveland Browns have put an emphasis on the passing game.
Replacing Alex Van Pelt with Ken Dorsey sent a clear message, which is that they want to make the most of Deshaun Watson’s passing skills.
With that in mind, the next step was to get him another reliable pass-catcher.
The Browns lacked depth at wide receiver behind Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore, and while David Njoku also became a strong factor later in the season, he’s not a wideout.
That’s why Deshaun Watson was thrilled to see that his team managed to get their hands on Jerry Jeudy, and he took to Twitter to react to this move.

All things considered, the Browns got Jeudy for a very reasonable return.
Sending away a fifth and a sixth-round pick for a young player with a WR1 upside is a deal you make every day of the week.
Jeudy has failed to live up to his seemingly-high potential during his days with the Broncos, although his QB situation was far from ideal.
Perhaps, the Alabama product will benefit from a change of scenery and a pass-heavy offense.
He’s entering the final year of his contract, and we’ve seen young wideouts take a massive leap in contract years.
This could end up being one of the most impactful moves of the offseason, and he could end up being a star in Cleveland for years to come.
For now, it’s clear that he has his QB’s stamp of approval.
