The Miami Dolphins had the best offense in the game last season, but they were ice-cold in their playoff loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, both literally and figuratively.

The Dolphins traveled to Missouri’s blistering cold, and Tua Tagovailoa and company couldn’t get anything going.

Now, looking back to that day, star OL Terron Armstead claimed the cold was literally too much to handle.

Talking to TMZ Sports, he admitted that he had never experienced anything like that in his career:

“Cold is not the word I would use to describe it,” he said.

Armstead, an Illinois native, claimed that it felt like it was a negative 99 degrees, and even though it was officially -4 degrees, some fans also had a tough time at the game.

Officially the fourth-coldest game in NFL history, multiple fans reportedly got frostbite.

Armstead also stated he’s sorry about their ice-cold stretch to end the season — no pun intended — as they could’ve secured the division and stayed home instead of having to go on the road to face the eventual champions on the road.

Now, the Dolphins have even higher expectations and don’t want to go through the same debacle, especially with the New York Jets joining the party as another Super Bowl contender out of the AFC East.

Weather will continue to be a factor in the game, and that’s part of the beauty of it, so the Dolphins need to make sure to stay in South Florida if they want to make a deep postseason run.
