Gina-Lisa Lohfink has not necessarily covered herself with fame in the past and now has to face the consequences and appear in court: Now a cold makes it impossible for her to appear in court and the hearing has to be postponed. But what is this agreement about?

Gina-Lisa Lohfink misses her court hearing

At the end of 2022, Gina-Lisa, who had previously been convicted, committed several traffic violations: she drove without a driver’s license and was also under arrest alcohol– and drug influence. But that’s not all: to divert attention from her crimes, she accused another person of driving in February 2023, reports “RTL”.

The verdict on Lohfink’s crime should actually have been read out on the day of the trial, but her lawyer Burkhard Benecken explains: “I found out at short notice that my client was in bed with a flu-like infection and unfortunately cannot come .”

According to her lawyer, Gina-Lisa Lohfink will admit to the charges

But she also has her lawyer say: “She will admit to the allegations against my client. She once again told me explicitly that she was ashamed of what had happened.” The reason for her behavior was the now 37-year-old’s private problems. “She was in a hole then, which she has now come out of. “She stands by what she did at the time,” her lawyer explains.

Gina-Lisa does not receive a celebrity bonus

Understanding is the first path to improvement, but unfortunately that doesn’t mean Gina-Lisa is off the hook. The ruling at the main hearing will only be made in the presence of the main defendant. Gina-Lisa must make her confession in person again in court on another date. And then the judge will form her own opinion about Lohfink. “Certainly when the media is involved, the criminal justice system often looks at it more critically. “You don’t want to be accused of making celebrities better off,” says the lawyer. It is still unclear how the whole case will end, but her criminal record is not good for her and could end with a fine or even jail time. In particular, the charge of false suspicion could mean five years in prison for her.
