Alemannia Aachen has completed the double: the champions of the regional football competition also won the state cup final on Saturday and are now in the first main round of the DFB Cup. Aachen won the final of the Middle Rhine Cup 4:2 (2:1) against Bonner SC from the lower division. Dustin Willms with two goals (54th/65th minute), Anton Heinz from the penalty spot (28th) and Sasa Strujic (90th + 1) also ensured the cup victory for the future third division team after the championship. However, Aachen had some difficulty against the team from Bonn, who took an early lead through Serhat Korkur (14th) and for whom Michael Okoroafor made it 2-2. But in the end the favorite won.
