For Everton fans who want to cast their way back to 2014, there was a time when your club signed David Henen on an initial loan from Olympiakos before signing him permanently for €280k in 2015.
The now 27-year-old would then go onto stay with the Toffees until 2018, when he moved to RSC Charleroi in Belgium on a free transfer.
The player never made a first-team appearance for Everton, and his career is set to take a big change, because he is off to Kazakhstan, as reported by journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, he reveals that Henen, currently at KV Kortrijk after a spell at Grenoble in France, has to choose between FK Astana and FK Tobol Kostanaï.
An interesting career arc for the 27-year-old to say the least.
