Lots of sun, hardly any cloud and maximum temperatures of 30 to 35 degrees: people must prepare for a heat wave Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland today. The German Weather Service (DWD) has also issued an official heat warning for some parts of the federal states. Physical exertion outdoors should definitely be avoided.

According to the DWD, similar temperatures are expected on Wednesday. After cooling down briefly during the night but remaining dry, it will be hot and humid with 28 to 34 degrees.

But the sunny Weather will be replaced by more and more cloud as the day progresses. In the afternoon, the high temperatures will lead to heavy rain, hail, thunderstorms and showers. At night, the temperature will cool down to lows of 14 to 20 degrees in rainy weather.

According to meteorologists, Thursday is also over storm formed. With maximum temperatures of 26 to 30 degrees, rain and thunderstorms will occur in many regions. Not much will change at the end of the week.
