The SC Magdeburg celebrated his exceptionally successful handball season with his fans in the city’s market square. After the presentation of the championship trophy, the team and staff of the German champions presented their trophies to approximately 4,000 people from the balcony of the town hall on Sunday evening.
“The capital congratulates the players, coaches, supervisors and everyone who played a role in these successes,” the spokesperson said Magdeburg Mayor Simone Borris as host. She had earlier taken the opportunity to personally present the championship trophy to captain Christian O’Sullivan after the 37:34 score in the Bundesliga final against HSG Wetzlar. After the balcony performance, the handball players signed their names in the Golden Book in the town hall – it was the fourth entry in four years.
