“On Thursday I was at the premiere of ‘My Fair Lady’ at the Seefestspiele in Mörbisch. On Friday morning I was taken to the AKH early because the tear in my heart valve had become larger,” says Lugner. It had to be operated on immediately because it was already life-threatening.
“But I was in the best hands,” said the 91-year-old, who recently married for the sixth time. There is a special department for heart valves at the University Hospital Vienna. His heart valve was stabilized using the clip method via the vein. According to “Bild”, Lugner was allowed to leave the hospital on Tuesday (July 16).
On June 1, the construction contractor, known by the nickname ‘Mortel’, made headlines with his sixth marriage. He married his new wife Simone “Bienchen” Reinländer (42), who previously worked as a manager at a hardware store, in Vienna. The two were briefly engaged in October 2021. They celebrated their love comeback at Easter 2024.
