After the New York Jets acquired superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a blockbuster trade with the Green Bay Packers last year, the storied franchise was dedicated to building a winner around the four-time NFL MVP and was able to bring in a few of his friends to help, like Randall Cobb and Allen Lazard.

Unfortunately, the 2023 NFL season turned out to be a disaster for Rodgers and the Jets, with the superstar going down with a season-ending Achilles injury in the first game of the campaign against the division-rival Buffalo Bills.

Ultimately, this injury was something the Jets couldn’t bounce back from, with Zach Wilson unable to shoulder the load under center and the team limping to the finish line without a playoff berth in the AFC.

With the Jets investing so much in Rodgers last season, Dianna Russini of The Athletic was asked whether he’s lost any power going into his second season with the team, via “The Herd with Colin Cowherd.”

“Aaron Rodgers hasn’t lost any power,” Russini said. “He’s 100% involved in everything the New York Jets have done.”

With Rodgers determined to get back to form and return to the Jets for next season, it’ll be interesting to see if he can get the team back on track, especially after a few moves were made to improve the team.

The Jets recently signed wide receiver Mike Williams and left tackle Tyron Smith while also trading for linebacker Haason Reddick in a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, which are all moves that immediately make the team better on both sides of the football.
