After decades of playoff failures, the Detroit Lions finally got over the hump this past season when they advanced all the way to the NFC Championship Game.

The Lions wound up falling short to the San Francisco 49ers, but the fanbase has to be proud of what the organization managed to accomplish.

Detroit has been steadily on the rise since they hired head coach Dan Campbell and he has the team poised to make another leap in 2024.

With most of their core players returning as well as some much-needed help now in the secondary, the Lions should be considered a legitimate Super Bowl threat in 2024.

Offensively, Detroit has one of the most exciting units in the league and should only see improvement as they young players continue to get more experience.

For the wide receiver room, the Lions decided to bring back Donovan Peoples-Jones, via Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report.

“Free agent WR Donovan Peoples-Jones is re-signing with the #Lions for 1-year, up to $2M, source tells @BleacherReport. Detroit prioritized keeping DPJ, who the organization believes is a rising player at just 25 years old.”

The Lions traded for Peoples-Jones at the NFL trade deadline last season and now will have a full season to evaluate him.

Peoples-Jones showed real flashes during his time with the Cleveland Browns but fell out of the rotation when the team brought in players like Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore.

Detroit already has Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and Sam LaPorta to lean on in the passing game but Peoples-Jones is a nice upside play.
