- Daily Wire editor Ben Shapiro blasted Biden in interview with Megyn Kelly
- He slammed the press conference which was called in response to the Justice Department’s report into his handling of classified documents
- Shapiro branded Thursday night’s gaffe-filled conference on ‘horrendous’
Biden’s disastrous press conference has been likened to the Challenger space shuttle explosion by a guest on Megyn Kelly’s show.
Ben Shapiro called the president’s appearance on Thursday, ‘the worst press conference I’ve ever seen by far’.
His comments came a day after Biden’s gaffe-filled address to the nation on the Justice Department’s report into his handling of classified documents.
His tirade included a number of blunders including referring to the Egyptian leader as the President of Mexico after angrily insisting is ‘memory is fine’.
‘That was the Challenger explosion of press conferences. It truly was the worst press conference I’ve ever seen by far,’ Shapiro said.
Megyn Kelly guest Ben Shapiro blasted Joe Biden’s disastrous press conference over the Justice Department’s report into his handling of classified documents
The Daily Wire editor said the appearance was like the ‘Challenger of press conferences’ in reference to the explosion which killed seven
The heated exchange with reporters saw Biden fume about the report’s findings, as well as mix up the presidents of Egypt and Mexico
The Challenger disaster was one of the deadliest in US spaceflight history and resulted in the death of seven crew members on board the shuttle when it exploded during lift off on January 28, 1986.
The cause of the spaceship’s disintegration was failure of seals in a joint in the shuttle’s boosters which occurred due to the record low temperatures on the morning of the launch.
‘I’ve been watching these things for well over 20 years at this point, and obviously I’ve watched a lot of tape. That was horrendous,’ Shapiro added.
‘Not just was it horrendous, it was on purpose, meaning he didn’t have to do the press conference last night.’
Special counsel Robert Hur’s report confirmed Biden would not be charged for keeping classified documents in his garage.
But it said that was because a jury would probably conclude he had ‘diminished faculties’ and was a ‘well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.’
In a hastily arranged press conference an agitated Biden insisted: ‘I know what the hell I’m doing! My memory has not gotten worse. My memory is fine. Take a look at what I have done since becoming president.’
‘No one thought I could pass any of the things I got passed. How did that happen? I guess I just forgot what was going on.’
His comments prompted scorn from Shapiro, editor of the Daily Wire.
President Biden went after reporters and blasted Special Counsel Robert Hur for targeting his memory in his report announcing the decision not to charge him over handling of classified documents
‘The entire purpose of the presser was to dissuade Americans, special counsel was right about his state of mind and his mental acuity. He doesn’t look like he kind of knows what he’s doing,’ Shapiro added.
‘He starts off hot for maybe a minute and a half… What a complete disaster area for the President. And it’s hard to see, frankly, how he survives this.
The media basically now has choice. We need to either openly report what’s going on. And every day now until the election, will be a question about his mental state.’
Biden was particularly upset by a Hur’s inclusion of the claim that he couldn’t remember the timing of his son Beau’s death.
‘There’s even reference that I don’t remember when my son died. How in the hell dare he raise that? I don’t need anyone, I don’t need anyone, to remind me of when he passed away,’ the president fumed.
‘Frankly, when I was asked the question, I thought to myself, wasn’t any of their damned business.’
He also said reports about his ‘willful’ retention of documents were ‘misleading.’
At one point he yelled: ‘I did not share classified information! I did not!’
Shapiro let rip in the segment on Friday night, branding the press conference ‘horrendous’ and the worst he had seen in 20 years
The Challenger space explosion in 1986 was one of the deadliest in US aerospace history, killing all seven crew on board
Biden then took a question about the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
In doing so he botched the identification of a world leader, calling Egypt’s Abdel Fattah El-Sisi the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
The only question is whether the Democratic Party is so convinced they can beat Donald Trump literally a person who is not mentally there, but they decide to stick with him rather than tossing him overboard or whether
it just happens that Joe Biden picks the single best presidential insurance anyone ever pick by making Kamala Harris his Vice President…
