The Pittsburgh Steelers have been among the most surprising teams throughout the NFL’s free agency period.

They added Russell Wilson, which wasn’t necessarily shocking given the team’s need at the quarterback position.

However, when they traded for Justin Fields, many fans were intrigued by the team’s decision and their plan of attack.

Nick Wright recently gave his opinion on the situation in a conversation on the “What’s Wright? Show.”

“I think Justin Fields will end up being the Steelers starting QB. Russ will get the start at the beginning of the year. But, Russ will be Russ, and then Fields will take over,” Wright said.

While the messaging from the Steelers camp is that Wilson is projected to be their full-time starter, Wright doesn’t see it that way.

Wilson hasn’t played his typical MVP-caliber football over the past two seasons, which is a cause for concern in Wright’s eyes.

The Steelers are looking to return to their standing as a contender in the AFC North, something they haven’t been able to do with their recent woes at quarterback.

The team might see Wilson as their best option, but if he struggles, they might have no choice but to roll Fields out there and see what he can do.

At times, Fields seemed to be figuring things out with the Chicago Bears, but there’s no telling how he will perform on this Bears team if given the opportunity.

2024 is slated to be a comeback season for the Steelers.

Which quarterback gives them the best opportunity to accomplish their goals?
