In what has become a tradition since Luka Doncic entered the league, the Dallas Mavericks are going to square off with the Los Angeles Clippers in the playoffs.
This is going to be one of the most entertaining first-round series, not only because of their history against one another but also because of how much talent will be on the court.
Nonetheless, as much as the Clippers could have enough firepower to slow Jason Kidd’s team down, former NBA star Paul Pierce believes the Mavericks will get the best of them this time.
Talking on “Undisputed,” he went as far as to call the Mavs’ duo of Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic the greatest scoring duo in NBA history.

He stated that the Mavs have arguably the best player in the league and a legitimate MVP candidate, and they’ve given him an elite sidekick.
Pierce added that the Mavericks have all the ingredients to make it to the NBA Finals, and while he doesn’t know if they’re going to be able to be consistent in the playoffs to pull that off, he does like their chances against the Clippers.
Also, with Kawhi Leonard once again struggling with an injury, the table is set for a Dallas win here.
The Mavs are the hottest team in the league right now, winning 16 of their last 18 and taking down some great teams in the process.
