Comedian Andrew Dice Clay is set to star opposite Eddie Murphy in Amazon’s upcoming film The Pickup, according to a recent report from Deadline.
The film comes from director Tim Story (The Blackening), and both comedians will be joined by Pete Davidson and Keke Palmer, who are the only other cast members announced as of now.
According to Deadline’s report, the film is being described as a “heist comedy,” although exact details for the project remain unknown.
When the film does release, it is expected be a Prime Video exclusive and will release on the streaming platform internationally. The Pickup will be written by Matt Mider and Kevin Burrows, with John Davis and John Fox attached as producers.
Clay has starred in a number of high-profile movies
Clay is best known for his career as a stand-up comedian, where he rose to superstardom in the 1980s for his brash and offensive persona. Since then, Clay has branched out into the world of acting, including having appearances in high-profile films like Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmine and Bradley Cooper’s A Star is Born.
Most recently, Clay appeared in the 2023 films God Is a Bullet and Warrior Strong.
