However, the Morocco international has struggled to have a great impact with the Süper Lig side, making just 14 appearances to date, and now facing time on the sidelines with an ankle injury, as the Turkish club provided an update on the Chelsea loanee.

Asia Analiz relayed it, with Galatasaray stating the winger has been diagnosed with an ‘ankle distortion’, meaning a severe sprain, which has stretched and strained his ‘inner lateral ligament, outer lateral ligament’ and caused a ‘syndesmosis’ of the left ankle.

Not only that, but a ‘oedema in the bones’ was also forming, which have been detected.

It’s said that ‘treatment has started’ for the Chelsea man, who now faces some time on the sidelines, having already missed games earlier on in the season with a foot injury, and recently spending time in Ivory Coast with the Morocco national team in the Africa Cup of Nations.
