A total of twenty emergency services from the Kiel fire brigade, rescue service and police were involved in the operation at the Olof-Palme-Damm/A215 junction in Kiel.

Keel. On Wednesday, June 5, around 6:45 p.m., the central regional control center received an emergency call about a traffic accident in the area of the Olof-Palme-Damm/A215 junction in Kiel.

Based on the descriptions, it was initially assumed that the operation was purely medical. In addition to the emergency services on the highways and national highways, fire brigades were also called in to secure the site.

At the scene, the emergency services found a car that had apparently left the road near an exit and driven under a guardrail. The driver stated that he had severe back pain and was unable to leave the vehicle alone.

As access via the driver’s door was initially not possible, additional fire and rescue services were called to the scene for technical rescue operations.
Using a cable winch, the vehicle was towed free, allowing access to the patient, who was then carefully freed and transported to a hospital for further treatment.

After about an hour, the operation was over for a total of 20 emergency services from the Kiel fire brigade, rescue service and police.
