Princess Kate released a moving statement this evening in support of Baby Loss Awareness Week.
The Princess of Wales, 42, joined thousands of others in lighting a candle at 7pm on Tuesday evening to remember the lives of babies gone “too soon”.
The future queen shared a photo of the candle to Instagram under #WaveofLight, a campaign organized by Baby Loss Awareness Week.
Princess Kate accompanied the photo with a statement that read: “Baby Loss Awareness Week is a very important time to support those who have experienced the devastation of losing a baby.
“Sending love, strength and hope to everyone affected. #WaveofLight. C.”
The poignant statement garnered thousands of likes and comments from people who have experienced their own losses.
An official representing Baby Loss Awareness Week also thanked the princess for raising awareness.

Baby Loss Awareness Week runs from October 7 to 15.
The organization said the week is a “time to come together, remember our babies, raise awareness and lead change.”
